How to prepare a niacinamide solution for cosmetic formulas
The easiest method is to prepare a 10% solution (i.e., 10g niacinamide in 100g of solution), which is easy to measure when adding to your products.
• 10g niacinamide (powder)
• 90g (or 90ml) of water (preferably demineralized, or boiled and cooled if unavailable)
Mix thoroughly. Store the solution in a cool place, in a tightly closed container.
WHICH MEANS:
1. If you want to achieve a 3% niacinamide concentration in your cosmetic and you have a 10% solution, simply use:
➤ 3ml of 10% solution per 10ml of base cosmetic
2. If you want a 6% concentration:
➤ 6ml of 10% solution per 10ml of base cosmetic
Suitable for use in:
✔ Serums and essences
✔ Toners and hydrosols
✔ Face and eye creams
✔ Masks
✔ Products for oily and problematic skin
✔ Brightening and tone-correcting cosmetics
✔ Scalp lotions and treatments
✔ Anti-cellulite products
Action and Benefits
Niacinamide works on multiple levels to visibly improve the condition of all skin types:
• Anti-aging action – stimulates collagen and elastin production, smooths skin texture, reduces fine lines
• Brightening and tone-evening – inhibits melanin transfer, promotes a radiant and even complexion
• Anti-inflammatory – soothes irritation, reduces redness and acne symptoms
• Sebum and pore regulation – balances oil production, reduces shine and breakouts
• Strengthens skin barrier – improves elasticity and hydration
• Antioxidant effect – neutralizes free radicals, protects against premature aging
• Boosts microcirculation – revitalizes dull, tired skin
Niacinamide is also increasingly used in anti-cellulite formulations, where it stimulates microcirculation and helps reduce the appearance of "orange peel" skin.
✅ Ideal for use in:
• Anti-aging serums (e.g., combined with hyaluronic acid, collagen, peptides)
• Products for oily, combination, and acne-prone skin
• Soothing and barrier-strengthening formulas
• Brightening and tone-correcting products
• Scalp care (sebum reduction, irritation relief)
