Specifications:
Retinyl Palmitate, Tocopherol
Application:
The gentlest form of vitamin A used in cosmetics in the form of orange fat, solidifying into yellow butter at temperatures below 20℃ (to restore its liquid form, immerse the tightly closed bottle in 50℃ water for 15 minutes). Vitamin A in the skin is broken down by sunlight, and the rebuilding process is time-consuming (an hour of sunbathing equals a week of regeneration, especially with a diet rich in this vitamin). Therefore, it is recommended to use preparations with vitamin A, especially in the spring-summer period when the skin is exposed to UV radiation. Thanks to its ester form, the product is ideal even for very sensitive skin. Pro-retinol transforms into retinol under the influence of enzymes present in the skin - the basic form of vitamin A. Products with pro-retinol are applied at night. The recommended concentration is 1-2%. Do not apply directly to the skin; it can be added to creams and dissolves well in oils - just add a few drops to any base oil to nourish the skin excellently and supplement vitamin A deficiencies. Add it to formulations in the oily phase.
Effects description:
The main role of pro-retinol in daily use is to provide the skin with the necessary dose of vitamin A (skin nutrition). Vitamin A is responsible for many physiological processes: it regenerates the epidermis, strengthens collagen fibers, eliminates discoloration, improves skin tone, and gives it smoothness. With sporadic use, pro-retinol only affects the external layers of the epidermis - reducing roughness and dryness (recommended, e.g., for caring for dry and rough elbows and knees). With systematic use, it begins to penetrate and act in the true skin - firms it and gives it elasticity, resulting in smoothing fine wrinkles.
