Vitamin A Palmitate (Pro-Retinol) (Retinyl Palmitate) is the most stable and gentlest form of Vitamin A used in cosmetics. In the densiLab range, it is available at a concentration of 1.0 million IU/g. The raw material comes from the renowned manufacturer DSM (Switzerland), a global leader in the production of vitamins for the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.

Application

The gentlest form of Vitamin A for cosmetic use, in the form of an orange fat that solidifies into a yellow butter at temperatures below 20 ℃ (the liquid form can be restored by placing the closed bottle in water at approximately 50 ℃ for about 15 minutes). The preparation is additionally stabilized with tocopherol (Vitamin E) as an antioxidant.

Vitamin A in the skin degrades under the influence of sunlight, and the regeneration process is lengthy (one hour of sun exposure equals one week of regeneration, even with a diet rich in this vitamin). Therefore, the use of preparations containing Vitamin A is recommended, especially in spring and summer, when the skin is exposed to UV radiation.

The main role of our preparation is the systematic replenishment of Vitamin A deficiencies in the skin, which occur daily as a result of sun exposure. Vitamin A is a key regulator of cellular renewal and collagen synthesis in the dermis. Thanks to its ester formulation, the product is also suitable for very sensitive skin. Under the influence of enzymes naturally present in the skin, Pro-Retinol is converted into Retinol – the primary form of Vitamin A.

Cosmetics containing Pro-Retinol should be used at night. The recommended concentration is 1–2%.

Do not apply directly to the skin, but add to creams. It is also ideal for oils – simply add a few drops to a selected carrier oil to intensely nourish the skin and replenish Vitamin A deficiencies. Add to the oil phase of the formulation.
