Application

Silk proteins are very similar to the proteins that build hair and nails, making them well-absorbed into tissues. Hydrolyzed silk can be used as an additive in hair conditioners (concentration 1:30) or as a base for a silk hair rinse (diluted in water at a ratio of 1:10 or 1:20).

Works well with hydrolyzed keratin; they can be applied together as a hair compress (dilute properly before use, rinse off after at least 20 minutes) or simply add a few drops to a finished conditioner. Also a valued addition to daily creams, body, and hand balms.
