Application

Silk proteins have a structure very similar to the natural proteins found in hair and nails, which allows them to penetrate tissues particularly well and deeply.

The exceptional properties of silk hydrolysate are based on its rich, characteristic amino acid profile. Silk protein contains especially high concentrations of glycine, alanine, and serine, which clearly distinguishes it from other protein hydrolysates:

Glycine (7.89 g/100 g protein) – the simplest amino acid, an essential component of collagen. Smooths the epidermis, improves skin elasticity, supports regeneration of collagen fibers.
Alanine (5.97 g/100 g) – one of the main amino acids of the skin’s Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF). Acts as a humectant, attracts and binds water in the epidermis.
Serine (1.88 g/100 g) – an active amino acid in NMF, supports hydration and skin elasticity. Naturally present in the hair cuticle.
Tyrosine (2.01 g/100 g) – an amino acid necessary for melanin production. Supports the natural pigmentation of skin and hair.
Lysine (2.47 g/100 g) – an essential amino acid, crucial for collagen synthesis. Strengthens the structure of the dermis and hair.

In addition, the hydrolysate contains glutamic acid, aspartic acid, histidine, cystine, and phenylalanine, among others – a total of 18 amino acids forming a complete natural active complex.

Examples of use:
• as an additive to hair conditioners (ratio 1:30)
• as a base for a homemade silk conditioner (diluted with water at a ratio of 1:10 or 1:20)
• combined with hydrolyzed keratin – as a hair compress (apply after dilution, leave for at least 20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly)
• add a few drops directly to a ready-made conditioner
• as an addition to face creams, body lotions, and hand creams
