Application

The most delicate form of vitamin A used in cosmetics, in the form of an orange fat, which solidifies below 20 ℃ into a yellow butter (the liquid form can be restored by placing the sealed bottle in water at approximately 50 ℃ for 15 minutes).

Vitamin A in the skin is degraded by sunlight, and the regeneration process is slow (one hour of sun exposure equals one week of regeneration, even with a diet rich in this vitamin). Therefore, the use of vitamin A preparations is recommended, especially in spring and summer when the skin is exposed to UV radiation.

Thanks to its ester formulation, the product is suitable for very sensitive skin. Under the influence of enzymes present in the skin, Pro-Retinol is converted into Retinol – the active form of vitamin A.

Cosmetics containing Pro-Retinol are applied at night. Recommended concentration is 1–2 %.

Not applied directly to the skin, but can be added to creams. Also excellent for oils – simply add a few drops to any carrier oil to nourish the skin and replenish vitamin A. Add to the oil phase of formulations.

Storage

Store in dark glass bottles at temperatures below 20 ℃. Protect from sunlight.

Warnings

Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. May have long-term harmful effects on aquatic organisms. Contains dl-α-tocopheryl acetate, may cause allergic reactions. Do not inhale vapors.
