CAS NUMBER: 8016-20-4 / 90045-43-5
INCI: Citrus Paradisi Peel Oil
Application
Grapefruit essential oil is a 100% natural oil obtained by mechanically pressing grapefruit peels. It is one of the most sought-after citrus oils, highly valued in natural medicine and cosmetology. Thanks to its extraction method, it retains all its beneficial properties, vitamins, minerals, and active substances. It is particularly rich in vitamin C.
It is widely used in the production of cosmetics for the face, body, and hair. It is an essential ingredient in lotions, creams, and ointments designed to fight cellulite. It can also be applied undiluted and massaged directly onto affected areas.
When added to face creams and other cosmetics, it significantly enhances their composition.
It is used as an additive in shampoos, conditioners, and handmade soaps.
Highly valued in perfumery, including oil-based perfumes (fresh, citrusy aroma).
It can also be blended with carrier oils for body massage.
How to use
Can be used undiluted.
For aromatherapy: Add a few drops to water in a diffuser, humidifier, or ionization lamp.
For massage: Blends perfectly with carrier oils but can also be used alone. It works well with olive oil, jojoba oil, or almond oil.
For bathing: Add 5 drops of oil to a bathtub filled 1/3 with water at about 35°C. For therapeutic effects, the bath should last around 30 minutes.
Enhancing cosmetics: Mix 2-5 drops of oil with 10-15 ml of cream, lotion, gel, or shampoo.
Effects
Grapefruit essential oil has antibacterial and sebum-regulating properties, making it ideal for the care of problematic, oily skin and greasy hair.
When added to face cream, it helps cleanse the skin, reduces inflammation, and soothes irritations. It regulates sebum production, refreshes, smooths the skin, and prevents follicular disturbances and blackheads.
It has an energizing effect on the face and body, brightens the skin, and combats pigmentation spots.
Thanks to its high vitamin C content, grapefruit oil is an excellent antioxidant.
Added to shampoo, conditioner, or a hair mask, it strengthens hair roots, accelerates hair growth, and reduces excessive oiliness.
