DIY Hand Balm for Dry Skin

This simple, natural hand balm is ideal for dry and even cracked skin – especially on areas such as hands, elbows, or heels. It has a soft, buttery texture that melts on contact with the skin and absorbs quickly.

The formula is based exclusively on plant-derived ingredients and active skincare compounds. It deeply hydrates, nourishes, and supports the regeneration of the skin’s hydrolipid barrier, without any synthetic additives that could cause irritation.

🌿 Balm benefits

This balm combines strong regenerating and protective properties. Jojoba oil and shea butter soften the skin and protect against dryness, while squalane and camellia oil support the restoration of the natural hydrolipid barrier.

Pomegranate seed oil and ceramides improve skin elasticity and support regeneration, while D-panthenol soothes irritation and accelerates healing. Added hyaluronic acid provides deep and long-lasting hydration, leaving the skin soft, smooth, and visibly more supple.

Preparation

  1. Gently melt all ingredients of the oil phase (avoid overheating).
  2. Allow the mixture to cool slightly (to near body temperature).
  3. Add the active ingredients and mix thoroughly.
  4. Pour the finished balm into a clean jar.

💡 Tips

If desired, you may add a few drops of essential oil for fragrance – however, only choose mild and non-irritating oils (all our fragrance oils are suitable for cosmetic use).

  • This balm is also suitable for the sensitive skin of babies and children (in this case, please omit essential oils!).
  • The amounts of ingredients can be measured using the common "eye measurement" method. The ingredients are safe, and even slightly larger amounts will not harm the skin.
