Application
D-panthenol, also known as provitamin B5, is widely used in the cosmetic industry as an ingredient in products with soothing, moisturizing, and calming effects, as well as in hair-strengthening and nail-regenerating formulations. Commonly used in products alleviating the effects of burns and sunburns. Can be added to daily creams, body lotions, conditioners, and shampoos. In nail care, D-panthenol increases the flexibility and hardness of the nail plate. Safe for the skin, dissolves well in water.
Recommended concentration in cosmetics is 5% for lotions, creams, and serums, and up to 1.5% in hair conditioners and shampoos.
