Ceramides are found in the epidermis and are responsible for its protective properties; in simple terms, they protect the skin and hair from adverse environmental effects. They help maintain proper skin hydration, increase its firmness, and also boost collagen synthesis.
\nThey are key to maintaining moisture and the protective barrier of the skin surface to keep it in the best possible condition.
