Application

Prickly pear seed oil is extracted from the seeds of the prickly pear fruit (Opuntia ficus-indica). It is refined and has strong anti-aging, moisturizing, and skin-protecting properties against photoaging. The oil is sourced from Moroccan plantations and is neither diluted nor enriched with additional ingredients.

It contains high amounts of Vitamin E and Omega-6 fatty acids, making it an ideal base or additive for cosmetics (creams, masks, lotions) designed for mature or regenerating skin. It is also excellent for care products for delicate areas such as the eyes, lips, and décolleté. Additionally, it is used for hair and nail care.

Recommended concentration in cosmetic formulations: 5-99%.

Description of effects

Prickly pear seed oil deeply moisturizes the skin and effectively reduces wrinkles. A noticeable tightening effect can be felt after the first use. Thanks to its high sterol content, it effectively prevents water loss from the skin. It combats cellulite and significantly reduces stretch marks. Additionally, it has anti-inflammatory, toning properties and stimulates the regeneration and healing of the epidermis.

A unique feature of prickly pear seed oil is its ability to strengthen the skin’s immune system (immunostimulation). Due to its high content of HSP-activating substances, phytosterols, and zinc, the oil stimulates the skin’s natural repair processes, making it more resistant to external factors and less prone to irritation and inflammation.
